The Truth that Sets Free
There is something powerful about the word truth, which is the real state of things. It can be one of positivity or negativity, and times will and do come in our lives through experiences where we are faced with the truth of a situation or circumstance. It is not always going to be what we may like to see, hear, or what we think it should not be. Or it may be what we would like to see, want to hear, or think it should be
Truth is honesty, a reality, a fact, and an actuality. As believers, there is one truth that we definitely have in our lives and that is Jesus Christ! Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, NIV). He is the truth and if we know his word and continually obey it, then we are truly his disciples, we will know the truth and we are set free! Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you keep obeying my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32, NLT).
Are you being faced with the truth of a situation or circumstance on today? The truth of the matter may not be what you have wanted or thought it should be, or it may have been the other way around. For you, it may be a gain or you may look at it as a loss. Either way, remember that if you endure and continue to stand in the word of the Lord and remain obedient to the word of the Lord, you will always know the truth; it will prove that you are a disciple, and you will remain set free in him!
Scripture of the Day: "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6
