The Importance Of One Sheep

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:4, 7 KJV

The Word of God said that if one sheep leaves the flock, He’ll leave the ninety and nine and go get that one. Even if you’re backslidden, and you’ve fallen away from God, I want you to know the Lord doesn’t say, “Good riddance. Forget you.” No! He says, “We’re not moving forward until we get our brother. We are in this together as a family. When one hurts, we all hurt. And when one is blessed, we are all blessed.” As members of the family of God, we don’t have time for jealousy or envy. We are all in this together following the Shepherd.

Look into your heart and your spirit and say, “Jesus, you are my Shepherd. Is there anything in my life that’s not pleasing to you? Is there any area in my life that I haven’t followed you?” If so, then repent right now. Just tell him you’re sorry that you missed it. He is the good Shepherd. His mercy endures forever.

Scripture Of The Day: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?" - Luke 15:4 (NKJV)
